If the App Store cannot find Shadowrocket, check which store you are signed into

No results for Shadowrocket does not mean the app was pulled. First confirm which region’s account is signed into the App Store.

No search results usually mean the region, not a takedown

The App Store shows apps listed for the region of the store account currently signed in. The same app can appear in region A and be completely absent in region B. Shadowrocket is not listed in some storefronts, including China. Searching Shadowrocket there and getting nothing is usually a catalog issue, not the app being pulled worldwide.

The web product page also follows the current store region. The link https://apps.apple.com/app/shadowrocket/id932747118 is usually not broken; an unlisted region shows unavailable or cannot purchase. Switch the store account to a region where it is listed, tap again, or search the English name in the store.

After the region is right, type Shadowrocket in the search field. Check the icon (white background, line-art rocket) and the developer, so you do not tap a lookalike free “accelerator.”

The two accounts are not the same thing

An iPhone has at least two sign-ins. Change the wrong one and the store shelf does not move.

Where to change itWhat changes
iCloud / system Apple ID The top of Settings Photos, backups, Find My. Changing this ID does not necessarily change which apps the App Store shows.
App Store account The App Store app → avatar at the top right Decides which region’s catalog you see and which payment method buys apps.

To download Shadowrocket you only need to change the App Store account. You do not have to sign out of iCloud, or set the whole phone to an overseas region. Many people switch the ID at the top of Settings, then still cannot search the store. That is why.

Open the app named App Store. Do not try to finish this in Settings → App Store. That is not the same session.

How to switch the store account

The full click-by-click steps are on the download page. Here are the easy mistakes:

  1. App Store → avatar at the top right → scroll to the bottom → Sign Out. Apps already on the Home Screen are not deleted.
  2. Sign in with an Apple ID from a region where the app is listed. This site does not provide, register, or sell accounts. If you need one, register that region yourself on Apple’s account pages. Payment method can be None.
  3. Search Shadowrocket. Confirm it is a one-time purchase, requires iOS, and costs about $2.99 (the store shows the local currency).
  4. Do not switch back to the old store account before the download finishes, or progress may stall.
  5. After it is installed you can sign out and sign into your daily store account. The Home Screen icon stays.
Do not download an ipa from the web Third-party packages, unsigned profiles, and enterprise certificates are not the genuine channel. This site does not provide installers either. Use the App Store only.

Switch back after install, and how to update later

You do not need to stay on an overseas store account “to keep it working.” Whether a connection succeeds has nothing to do with who is signed into the App Store. It depends on the node, the rules, and the switch.

To update this app later: sign in again with the store account that made the purchase → avatar → Purchased → find Shadowrocket → cloud download. Do not buy it again just because search finds nothing, unless Apple shows that account never purchased it.

A new phone or an accidental delete also goes through Purchased. Do not hunt an installer on a third-party site. Whether Family Sharing can give it to other members depends on purchase sharing on the buying account, and whether devices are in the same family. That is Apple’s rule, not an extra Shadowrocket fee.

If search still finds nothing

After you have confirmed the store account region, check:

  • Whether the query is the English name Shadowrocket. Look-alike titles may not be the same app.
  • Whether the network can open the App Store itself. If the store will not load, search results do not matter.
  • Whether the account is blocked from purchases. A locked account has to follow Apple’s prompts first. That is unrelated to Shadowrocket.
  • Whether you tapped a lookalike. The product page numeric ID should be 932747118.

This site is a setup guide, not the developer’s site. We cannot list the app or change the catalog. What we can do: say which account to switch, how to switch back after purchase, and how to verify a genuine copy. Account origin, payment, and two-factor follow Apple’s pages at the time.

After install, how to import a subscription and why the list can still be empty: empty list after saving a subscription and the tutorial. The app is an empty shell. The store purchase does not include servers.

People ask whether changing the iPhone’s Country or Region in Settings will make an unlisted app appear. System region affects keyboard and calendar preferences. It does not put an unlisted app on the current store shelf. The shelf follows only the account signed into the App Store. A VPN, different DNS, or clearing the store cache will not make Shadowrocket appear in an unlisted region either.

After purchase, finding it in Purchased is what counts as a genuine buy. A rocket icon on the Home Screen with nothing in Purchased is a warning you may have the wrong app. On a new phone, trust Purchased, not the idea that the old icon is a package you can copy.

This site does not provide Apple IDs, and does not vouch for any “shared account.” Store accounts other people share get password changes and locks, and they carry privacy risk. If you need an overseas-region account, register with your own email through Apple’s flow.

Payment also stalls people: after a new account sets payment to None, some regions still require store credit or another usable method for the $2.99. Follow the checkout prompt. Do not download an unknown package instead. If the store will not load, or two-factor never reaches a device, that is an Apple ID problem. Finish the sign-in path, then search Shadowrocket again.

After install, two things together mean this purchase can restore on a new phone: the Home Screen icon opens, and you can find it in Purchased for that store account. Only one of the two, and later restores will not show the cloud icon. The download page has the five-step tap path. This article only settles which sign-in to look at when search finds nothing.
